Both. You are always welcome to share a budget range — it helps us understand what is realistic and gives us a clear framework to design within. We can also walk you through what a project of your scope typically involves cost-wise, so you are never working with a number that came from nowhere. What we do not do is quote before we fully understand the scope; accurate pricing requires real information, and real information takes a conversation.

We maintain working relationships with a vetted network of Tampa Bay contractors, trades, and specialty installers who we know personally and trust completely. In most cases, we coordinate with our established team — it keeps quality consistent and communication seamless. If you have an existing contractor you want to involve, we are open to that conversation. What matters most is that the people doing the work meet our standard, whoever they are.

Many designers are generalists. Michelle's practice is intentionally narrow — kitchens and baths, executed at a high level. That focus means deeper vendor relationships, more refined technical knowledge, and a process that has been refined over many projects in a specific discipline. A standard kitchen remodel generally runs eight to fourteen weeks from design sign-off to final walkthrough, depending on the scope and material lead times. Bathrooms often move faster — four to ten weeks is typical. These timelines assume decisions are made on schedule and materials are available. We build a realistic project timeline during the planning phase so you are never left guessing, and we communicate proactively if anything shifts.
